Winners of the 76th Creative Arts Emmy Awards were announced last Sept. 8 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
While the ceremony was held prior to the “main” Primetime Emmy Awards telecast on Sept. 16, many of the behind-the-scenes awards have been handed out for categories like directing, editing, casting, costumes, make-up, sound, and production.
The clear winner of the ceremony is the American historical drama series “Shōgun,” which made history by winning the most Emmy Awards ever for a single season, winning 14 awards ranging from its costumes to stunt performances and breaking the previously held record by the mini-series “John Adams” in 2008.
Shows like “The Bear,” “Saturday Night Live,” and “Baby Reindeer” also bagged several awards.
Other notable winners of the awards night include first-time Emmy winners: Angela Bassett, who won for her narration in the National Geographic show “Queens,” Jamie Lee Curtis, as best guest actress in a Comedy Series in “The Bear,” and Sandra Oh, who won her first Emmy, not for acting, but instead for producing “Quiz Lady,” which won for outstanding television movie.
