Award-winning actress Nadine Lustre is showcasing a dramatic demonstration of her acting range as she unveiled a fierce, foul-mouthed and mysterious persona in the new teaser for her upcoming film, “Uninvited.”

Released on Friday, Nov. 8, the teaser sees Lustre’s Nicole in an unapologetic, bold aura that draws fans into a side of her they have never seen before. The teaser shows a series of intense scenes that include her character extensively cursing and fighting off her dad.

As of writing, Lustre’s teaser has garnered around 8 million views on all social media platforms and has landed the trending list on X (formerly Twitter) upon its release last night.

Aside from Lustre, “Uninvited” features a stellar cast that includes Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos, Aga Muhlach, Tirso Cruz III, Mylene Dizon, Gabby Padilla, Elijah Canlas, RK Bagatsing, Lotlot de Leon, Ketchup Eusebio, Cholo Barretto, Gio Alvarez and Ron Angeles.

Directed by Dan Villegas, “Uninvited” is an official entry to the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). It is produced by Mentorque Productions, producer of MMFF 2023 hit “Mallari,” and Project 8 Projects, producer of Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2024 entry “Sunshine.”

“Uninvited” will mark Lustre’s comeback to the MMFF after bagging the Best Actress award for “Deleter” in 2022, as well as Santos’ return after taking home the Best Actress trophy last year.

The first teaser, which was released last month, showed an opulent birthday party for Muhlach’s character that quickly descended into chaos characterized by violence, family confrontations, and dark secrets.

The thriller film is set to open in cinemas on Christmas Day, alongside other MMFF entries: Vice Ganda’s “And the Breadwinner Is…,” Dennis Trillo’s “Green Bones,” Jane de Leon and Enrique Gil’s “Strange Frequencies: Haunted Hospital,” Aicelle Santos and Bituin Escalante’s “Himala: Isang Musikal,” and Vic Sotto and Piolo Pascual’s “The Kingdom.”

Other entries also include Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin’s romantic comedy, “My Future You,” Julia Montes and Arjo Atayde’s action movie “Topakk,” Julia Barreto and Carlo Aquino’s romantic film “Hold Me Close,” and Judy Ann Santos and Lorna Tolentino’s horror movie “Espantaho.”
